This episode uses Octophantom as its monster of the day. Octophantom as shown on the Zyu2 page is a Zyu2 creation. Now according to a famous online fan, there was a zord battle filmed battle Octophantom and the Thunder Megazord marking their first American-shot zord battle however people weren't happy about it so most of the footage got cut excluding some couple shots which is shown here.
